- 1851 Living with Samuel Beale of xx Cottage, New Bridge Road, Edgbaston, age 47, a widower, alderman and magistrate, manufacturer in iron, dealer in seed, plus four servants[1]. William was shown as dealer in lead and glass.
- 1857 Married Caroline Geach only daughter of late Charles Geach Esq., MP
- 1861 William L. Beale (age 31), Ironmaster and colliery proprietor employing 1,000 persons - with partners - and his wife Caroline (age 25 and born in Birmingham) and their son Arthur and two daughters; living with his father Samuel Beale of Warfield Road, Berks (age 59) M.P., proprietor of land employing seven men, and his wife Mary (age 46 and born at Plymstall, Cheshire) plus four servants[2].
- 1864 Samuel Beale retired and his son incorporated Park Gate Iron and Steel Co under the name Parkgate Iron Company Limited
- 1871 of the Manor House, Waltham St Lawrence, Berks (age 42), a gentleman landowner. Living with his wife Caroline (age 35), their four daughters and son Bertram Robert plus seven servants[3].
