The last of the great air races before the outbreak of WWI. It was run from Hendon to Buc and back with a total distance of 508 miles. The race started on the 11th July 1914 but only half the field left on that day.
The competitors were:
- Thomas Elder Hearn - ( Bleriot monoplane and 80 hp Gnome engine)
- Eugene Renaux - (Maurice Farman pusher biplane with 120 hp Renault engine). 3rd place
- Louis Noel - (Morane-Saulnier monoplane with 80 hp Gnome engine)
- Walter Laurence Brock - (Morane-Saulnier monoplane with 80 hp Gnome engine). 1st place
- Reginald Hugh Carr - (Morane-Saulnier monoplane with 80 hp Gnome engine)
- Roland Garros - (Morane-Saulnier monoplane with 80 hp Gnome engine). 2nd place
- John Carbery - ( Bristol Scout plane with 80 hp Le Rhone engine)
