Born 1893 in Staffordshire of Belgian descent

He served as an apprentice at Siddeley-Deasy before the first World War where he met Donald Marcus Kelway Marendaz

Started Marseel with Donald Marcus Kelway Marendaz a company making gearboxes for the Emscote car. Emscote didn't take all the gearboxes they made so the surplus were used with Coventry-Simplex engines to make complete cars.
