1920 Built for John Murphy of Co Durham and fitted with a Thompson and Walton Feast crane. The sister engine was CU 977. JM owned this engine until 1952
1941 Working in Cumbria on timber loading
1952 Bought by T. E. Tate of Co. Durham
1959 Bought by W. Johnstone of Warkworth
1962 Owned by P. R. Bates of Consett
1963 Owned by A. R. Hawthorne and Sons of Woodcote until 1979
