1930 Acquired the patents for the French Chenard-Walcker tractor unit and produced these at Clapham in South London.
1931 Beardmore was a pioneer in developing 'heavy oiled engines' in the 1930s, otherwise known today as 'diesel' engines but they were not reliable and production ceased in 1935.
1932 Sold the lorry division to Multiwheelers (Commercial Vehicles) who then used AEC and Gardner engines.
