Aberdare Railway

1845 The Aberdare Railway Company was incorporated under the Aberdare Railway Act of 31st July 1845. The company was responsible for the construction of a railway line from Ynys Meyrick to Aberdare in Glamorganshire.

From 1st January 1849, by the provisions of the Aberdare Railway Leasing Act 30th June 1848, the company was leased to Taff Vale Railway Company.

1902 The Aberdare railway company was vested in the Taff Vale Railway company under the Taff Vale Railway Act of 31st July 1902.

1922 the Taff Vale Railway Company was amalgamated with Great Western Railway Company as from 1st January 1922 by virtue of Great Western Railway (Western Group) Preliminary Amalgamation Scheme 25th March 1922.
