This 1953 Daimler, which was originally displayed as a Lanchester, was then coverted and re-registered as a Daimler. It was then used by the general manager of Daimler for his own personal transport. Daimler tried to use the Dauphin to raise the profile of Lanchester, but due to it high cost, failed to do so.
The Dauphin was built on a conquest-Leda chassis with an uprated Conquest engine giving 94 bhp.
