Cecil Stanley Windsor (1879-1926)
Born in 1879, and was educated at the Grocers' Company's School. His apprenticeship was served with the Pick Motor Co, Stamford, and from there he went as foreman of the repair shop with Rock, Thorpe and Chatfield.
In 1909 he was appointed manager of the automobile branch of the Parsons Motor Co of Southampton, and on leaving that firm in 1911 was appointed to James Bartle & Co, which business he subsequently purchased and became managing director.
He was also Chairman of the Samuelson Transport Co. He was very well known in the industry, and was responsible for a considerable number of patents in connection with automobile bodies and accessories. He died suddenly on 18th December, 1925.
He was elected a Member of the Institution of Automobile Engineers in 1921.
