Note: This is a sub-section of Clayton and Shuttleworth
No 32648. Imported into New Zealand about 1901
2013 Notes[1]
'it is believed that it arrived in Nelson around 1900-1901 Adam Jackson bought it as a 21st birthday present for my grandfather Stanley R. Jackson. The engine was driven to Blenheim towing a Clayton Mill both surviving today and they started work on the family farm approx. 500 acres later the same year.
The engine has stayed in the family ever since. I have a background in engineering so decided that I had better use my time to get her up and running with all the necessary certificates. As the engine had spent a large part of its life under cover it is in reasonable condition. We are awaiting a set of tubes some suitable rubber and the job should be done.'
