Joseph Emerson Dowson invented Dowson's gas
1887 Dowson Economic Gas and Power Co. was established.
1894 Antwerp Exhibition. Awarded Gold Medal for Large Mechanical Constructions and Silver Medal for Heating and Ventilation [1]
1910 Amalgamated with Mason's Gas Power Co to form Dowson and Mason Gas Plant Co Ltd.
