1957 Knitmaster Holdings acquired H. L. Reynolds of Leeds, steel stockholders and structural and sheet metal engineers which had been incorporated in 1943[3]
1959 The company acquired W. J. Harris and Co and the Mulberry Co; the name of Knitmaster Holdings was changed to Amalgamated Industrials Ltd[4].
1959 Acquired the Mulberry Company (D. H. and L. Pickard Ltd and Group Four Metals Ltd)[5]
1960 Acquired A. H. Bland, makers of heat sealing machinery[6] and H. Massil and Sons (Wolverhampton) [7]
