JOHN WOOTTON was educated at the People's College, Nottingham, and at the High School, Loughborough, and was apprenticed at the Falcon Works, Loughborough, now the Brush Electrical Engineering Co.
After gaining considerable experience with a firm of Marine Engineers, he joined the Brazilian Navy, with which he remained for four years, till he joined his two brothers in a general engineering works at Coalville.
He was Managing Partner, and took a keen interest in the firm's activities till his death on 18th October 1921, in his seventy-seventh year.
He was a Justice of the Peace for the County of Leicestershire, and became a Member of this Institution in 1899.
