HARRY WILLIAMS, after serving a five years' apprenticeship with the Coalbrookdale Company, went to Australia in 1888, where he gained experience with a number of firms in Victoria.
In 1897 he became an engineer in the employ of Messrs. Fraser and Chalmers, and two years later was appointed assistant manager and works manager for Messrs. McOnie, Harvey and Company, later the Harvey Engineering Company, of Glasgow.
In 1917 he became managing director of Messrs. John Cochrane (Barrhead) and died whilst transacting business on behalf of this firm on 12th December 1927, in his sixtieth year.
He became a Member of the Institution in 1917.
