1825 Richard Otley, the Stockton and Darlington Railway surveyor and secretary

1830 Middlesbrough - a planned town surveyed by Richard Otley as a coal exporting hub of Port Darlington

1833 Draft agreement for the lease by John Janson to Thomas Bowes of a dwelling house, coachhouse, stable and outbuildings in Northgate, Darlington, at present occupied by Richard Otley. [1]
