1865 Responsible for the Delhi railway contract of 304 miles from Lahore to Delhi - the largest contract, it is believed, ever carried out in India.

George Wythes partnered with Thomas Brassey (1805 to 1870), Charles Henfrey with whom he bid on the construction of the Delhi railway line and, as Wythes and Jackson with Mr. Jackson with whom he built 72 miles of the railway from Chalisgaon to Bhusawal in India.
