Note: This is a sub-section of William Beardmore and Co: Aircraft.
The Air Ministry's prize was gained by the Beardmore Wee Bee monoplane fitted with a Bristol Cherub engine of 24 hP. This machine flew a total distance during the trials of 737.5 miles in a total time of 11 hours 54 minutes 41 seconds and attained speed of 70.11 mph during the high-speed test.
