1830 Born the son of Charles Holtzadorf Byrne (1781-1853) and his wife Susa Ewing (1789- ).
1830 October 28th. Baptised at St. Peter's, Liverpool.
1851 Living at Kenyon Terrace, Birkenhead: Charles H. Byrne (age 69 born Ireland), Retired Ship Owner. With his wife Susan Byrne (age 62 born Scotland) and their children Isabella Byrne (age 25 born Liverpool), Annamaria Byrne (age 23 born Liverpool), and Sinclair Byrne (age 20 born Liverpool), Merchants Clerk. Two servants. [2]

1868 12th September. The partnership between St. Clare John Byrne, James Humphrys (of Hull) and Frank Henry Pearson at Kingston-Upon-Hull, known as Byrne, Humphrys and Co was dissolved. It was continued as Humphrys and Pearson. [4]
