Clive Leese (1885-1932)
1932/33 Obituary [1]
Clive Leese was born in 1885 and after serving his apprenticeship with J. E. Hutton Ltd and Berliet Motors he spent four years as Chief Tester with the same firm.
He was then appointed Works Manager and Assistant Sales Manager until the outbreak of the War, when he obtained a commission in the Mechanical Transport and served first in France and later in the M.T. Inspection Branch.
In 1919 he joined the London General Omnibus Co as Assistant to the Maintenance Manager, and later and until his death was Engineer-in-Charge of the Chiswick Repair Works of the Company.
He died on the 9th November, 1932, following an operation, at the age of 47.
He was elected a Member of the Institution of Automobile Engineers in 1923.
