1958 Formed by Crystalate Ltd
1983 Acquired Royal Worcester including Welwyn, manufacturer of resistors.
1984 Sold Royal Worcester Spode without Welwyn to LRC International. Sold the industrial ceramics division separately to Coors Porcelain of the US[1] [2].
1985 The main business of making telephone components was damaged by the privatisation of British Telecom; Welwyn was a growth business[3]
1985 Crystalate stopped production of the Enterprise home computer at Bedlington[4] and closed the Greendale Electronics plant at Dronfield[5]
1990 Sold its telecommunications division, principally consisting of A. P. Besson to a Japanese company[6]
1990 Bought by TT Electronics
