He was educated at H.M. Upper Dockyard School, Portsmouth Municipal College, and Leeds College of Technology. On the completion of five years' practical training in [[Portsmouth Dockyard|H.M. Dockyard, Portsmouth]], he successively held the positions of fitter and turner, temporary draughtsman in the signal school design office and acting and established second-class draughtsman until 1936, when he was made acting first-class draughtsman. GEORGE WELLINGTON RONALD FREEBODY. who died on 13th June 1952 at the early age of forty-four, was in the service of the Admiralty, specializing in the design and manufacture of gunnery and control gear during practically the whole of his brief career.
He was educated at H.M. Upper Dockyard School, Portsmouth Municipal College, and Leeds College of Technology. On the completion of five years' practical training in H.M. Dockyard, Portsmouth, he successively held the positions of fitter and turner, temporary draughtsman in the signal school design office and acting and established second-class draughtsman until 1936, when he was made acting first-class draughtsman.
