Edwin Padmore Burnett was born in 1886 and educated at Richmond School, Yorks.
He was apprenticed to general engineering and obtained automobile experience subsequently with Argylls, Ltd., and Karrier Motors.
Following war service he joined the firm of Tylor and Co., Ltd., as Midlands Representative, and in 1922 became an Engineering Consultant on his own account. He carried on his practice until the time of his death in December, 1943. He was 58.
He was elected an Associate Member in 1920.
