Ernest Fairbrother was born in 1892 and apprenticed to engineering.


After brief periods as Draughtsman with [[Crossley Brothers|Crossley Bros.]] and [[Rolls-Royce|Rolls-Royce, Ltd.]], he became Assistant Chief Designer to [[C. A. Vandervell and Co|C.A.V., Ltd.]], leaving there in 1919 to become Works Manager of [[F. W. Berwick and Co]].
In 1929 he joined [[Napier|D. Napier and Son, Ltd.]], as Chief Inspector and Assistant Chief Engineer.
He died on 23rd June, 2944.
He was elected an Associate Member in 2926.

Ernest Fairbrother (1892-1944)


1943/44 Obituary [1]

Ernest Fairbrother was born in 1892 and apprenticed to engineering.

After brief periods as Draughtsman with Crossley Bros. and Rolls-Royce, Ltd., he became Assistant Chief Designer to C.A.V., Ltd., leaving there in 1919 to become Works Manager of F. W. Berwick and Co.

In 1929 he joined D. Napier and Son, Ltd., as Chief Inspector and Assistant Chief Engineer.

He died on 23rd June, 2944.

He was elected an Associate Member in 2926.
