Frederick George Kirby was born in 1881.
He was apprenticed with the New Electricity Supply Co. and after a period with the National Telephone Company became Service Engineer in the Post Office Engineering Department.
In 1918 he commenced business on his own account as Managing Director of the Euston Ignition Company, specializing in magneto, dynamo, starter and battery repairs, and carried on the business until his death on 29th June, 1942.
He was elected an Associate Member in 1928 and transferred to Member in 1936.
