Frederick William Bond was born in 1890 and apprenticed to Thomas Lister and Co., Ltd., and Karrier Motors, Huddersfield.
Following service in H.M. Forces from 1914 to 1919, he returned to Karrier Motors as Manager of the Claims Department and Investigation Engineer.
In 1921 he commenced in business on his own account under the title of F. W. Bond and Co., building Bond cars.
In 1928 he became Engineer-Surveyor to the Motor Union Insurance Co., Ltd., and occupied this position for many years.
He died on 6th January, 1943, at the age of 53.
He was elected an Associate Member in 1920.
