Arthur Stanger was born in 1906, and served his apprenticeship with R. M. Wright and Co., Ltd., Lincoln.
In 1925 he joined the Colmore Depot at Birmingham, where he occupied successively the positions of Automobile Electrician, Charge-hand, Section Foreman, and finally Works Superintendent of the firm's Manchester Repair Station.
He died on May 16th, 1934, at the age of 28.
He was elected a Graduate of the Institution in 1924, and was transferred to Associate Member shortly before his death.
