Edward Makinson Powell was born in 1888, and throughout the whole of his career was associated with the firm of [[Humber|Humber, Ltd]]. He joined the Company in 1907, and thereafter held various positions in the works, more especially on the research and experimental side, finally holding the post of Experimental Engineer with the Humber-Hillman combine.
He died on October 6th, 1934, at Gibraltar, whilst on a pleasure cruise.


He was elected an Associate Member in 1919.

Edward Makinson Powell (1888-1934)

Edward Makinson Powell was born in 1888, and throughout the whole of his career was associated with the firm of Humber, Ltd. He joined the Company in 1907, and thereafter held various positions in the works, more especially on the research and experimental side, finally holding the post of Experimental Engineer with the Humber-Hillman combine.

He died on October 6th, 1934, at Gibraltar, whilst on a pleasure cruise.

He was elected an Associate Member in 1919.
