Sidney Brookman was born in 1886 and apprenticed to the Vulcan Engineering Company.
After a period as Mechanic and Works Foreman with the Sunbeam Motor Co. he became Works Manager with Clevely Ltd., London, and remained with them until 1916, when he joined H.M. Forces.
After the war he joined the Daimler Company as successively Tester, Inspector and Assistant Works Manager of the London Depot.
His death occurred on 10th February, 1942. He was 56.
He was elected an Associate Member in 1926.
