Sir Ivor Cox, DSc, DSO (Member), who died recently, was a holder of the Order of the Southern Cross of Brazil. For many years he was with the Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Co., concentrating on the export field and particularly on electrification of the Brazilian Railways. It was for these services he was given this award.


Sir Ivor was greatly concerned with exports before and after the 1939-45 war. He was both. Chairman of the Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Export Co. Ltd and Managing Director of AEI Overseas Ltd at the time of his retirement. It is with great sorrow we record his death.

Sir Ivor Cox, DSc, DSO (Member), who died recently, was a holder of the Order of the Southern Cross of Brazil. For many years he was with the Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Co., concentrating on the export field and particularly on electrification of the Brazilian Railways. It was for these services he was given this award.
