Mr W. S. Crabtree (Associate Member) was 83 years old when he died earlier this year. He had recently completed 50 years as an Associate Member of this Institution.


He served his apprenticeship in the [[York Works|North Eastern Railway's Locomotive works]] at York, and was afterwards engaged in heavy erection and maintenance work in various steel plants and heavy millwright work.

1963 Obituary [1]

Mr W. S. Crabtree (Associate Member) was 83 years old when he died earlier this year. He had recently completed 50 years as an Associate Member of this Institution.

He served his apprenticeship in the North Eastern Railway's Locomotive works at York, and was afterwards engaged in heavy erection and maintenance work in various steel plants and heavy millwright work.
