"ROBERT LUFKIN KEABLE HAZELL was associated with the firm of [[Davey, Paxman and Co|Davey Paxman and Company, Ltd.]], Colchester, engineers, for sixty-two years. On leaving the Royal Grammar School in Colchester in 1885, he began to serve a four-year apprenticeship with [[Davey, Paxman and Co]] and on its completion entered the boiler department, eventually becoming chief boiler engineer. Mr. Hazel was an expert on the design, operation, and maintenance of shell boilers, in connexion with which he had several inventions and patents to his credit, his advice being sought by users in all parts of Great Britain. He was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1919. His death occurred at Frinton-on-Sea on 23rd December 1950 at the age of eighty-three." | |||

"ROBERT LUFKIN KEABLE HAZELL was associated with the firm of Davey Paxman and Company, Ltd., Colchester, engineers, for sixty-two years. On leaving the Royal Grammar School in Colchester in 1885, he began to serve a four-year apprenticeship with Davey, Paxman and Co and on its completion entered the boiler department, eventually becoming chief boiler engineer.
