ARTHUR HANSON was works manager and chief engineer to the London Electric Wire Company and Smiths, Ltd., Salford, a firm specializing in the manufacture of bronze and copper wire.
Mr. Hanson, who was born at Birkenshaw, near Bradford, received his technical education at Bradford Technical College, and served his apprenticeship with Messrs. George Blamires and Company, of Cleckheaton from 1887 to 1890. He then joined [Cole, Marchent and Morley|Messrs.
