"DAVID JOHNSTON DAVIDSON, B.Sc., was elected as Student of the Institution in 1923, and was transferred to Graduateship in 1932, and to Associate Membership four years later. He was also an Associate Member of the [[Institution of Civil Engineers]]. He served his apprenticeship with [[Cooper and Greig|Messrs. Cooper and Greig]], Dundee, marine engineers, from 1922 to 1925, concurrently attending classes at the local Technical College, and continued his studies at St. Andrews University, where he graduated B.Sc. in civil and mechanical engineering in 1928. In 1932 he secured an appointment as resident engineer in the roads and bridges department of the Roxburghshire County Council, and two years later he was engaged by the Enfield Urban District Council as engineering assistant, in which capacity he dealt as surveyor with the provision of plant for the Council's sewerage works. Since 1936 he had been bridges engineer to the Leicestershire County Council. During the 1939-45 war Mr. Davidson served with the Royal Engineers and rose to the rank of captain. His death occurred on 10th April 1950 at the early age of forty-five." | |||

"DAVID JOHNSTON DAVIDSON, B.Sc., was elected as Student of the Institution in 1923, and was transferred to Graduateship in 1932, and to Associate Membership four years later. He was also an Associate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. He served his apprenticeship with Messrs.
