"DAVID WILSON MCGUFFIE, whose death in his seventy-second year occurred on 9th February 1950, was in practice as a consulting engineer and marine surveyor in Glasgow, for over forty years. He was educated at the Glasgow Academy and served an apprenticeship with Messrs. John G. Kincaid and Company, Ltd., of Greenock, from 1894 to 1899.
