"JOHN ANGUS ALLAN MORRISON, B.Sc., whose untimely death occurred on 22nd August 1948 at the early age of thirty-four, was elected a Graduate of the Institution in 1938, and transferred to Associate Membership in 1944. He served his apprenticeship in the Royal Ordnance Factories at Woolwich from 1929 to 1934 and concurrently attended classes at the Woolwich Polytechnic. He then took a course in engineering at the University of London, graduating B.Sc. in 1937. His first employment was as resident engineer for the [[Francois Cementation Co]] during the construction of aero-engine test houses for the [[Bristol Aeroplane Co|Bristol Aeroplane Company, Ltd]]. In this capacity he was responsible for the elimination of vibration and soundproofing of these buildings. On the completion of this task in 1939 he joined the staff of the latter company as assistant development engineer and was especially concerned with airscrew provisioning and development for experimental engines and flight tests." | |||

"JOHN ANGUS ALLAN MORRISON, B.Sc., whose untimely death occurred on 22nd August 1948 at the early age of thirty-four, was elected a Graduate of the Institution in 1938, and transferred to Associate Membership in 1944.
