ALEXANDER GOLDIE ENGHOLM whose death occurred at Birmingham on 27th October 1942, in his seventieth year, was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1905 and was a very active member of the Midland Branch and well known in Birmingham engineering circles. After a two years' course of study at King's College, London, Mr. Engholm served his apprenticeship from 1893 to 1897 with [[Robert W. Blackwell and Co|Messrs. R. W. Blackwell and Company]], electrical engineers, and during the same period completed his technical education at the Birkbeck Institute and the Polytechnic, Regent Street. Subsequently he returned to Messrs. Blackwell, and gained experience in general engineering and tramway work until 1906 when he established the engineering works of [[Goldie Engholm|Messrs. ALEXANDER GOLDIE ENGHOLM whose death occurred at Birmingham on 27th October 1942, in his seventieth year, was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1905 and was a very active member of the Midland Branch and well known in Birmingham engineering circles. He was also an Associate Member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers.
After a two years' course of study at King's College, London, Mr. Engholm served his apprenticeship from 1893 to 1897 with Messrs. R. W.
