THOMAS WILLIAM COOPER maintained a close connection with engineering in the Bristol district throughout his professional career. THOMAS WILLIAM COOPER maintained a close connection with engineering in the Bristol district throughout his professional career. After receiving his technical education at the Merchant Venturers' Technical College, he served his apprenticeship with Messrs. G. Adlam and Sons, general and brewers' engineers, of Bristol, from 1895 to 1902.
He was employed in Messrs. W. D. and H. O. Wills's engineering department until 1910 when he returned to Messrs. Adlam as deputy shop foreman for a period of two years.
