"ALFRED HARRY GEORGE BANNISTER, whose death occurred on 4th May 1948 in his seventy-fourth year, was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1921.
He received his technical education at the Croydon and Regent Street, London, Polytechnics, and served a six years' apprenticeship, terminating in 1897, with Messrs. W. R.
