ERNEST ALBERT MANN was associated with the firm of Messrs. William Johnson and Sons (Leeds), Ltd., general engineers, from his apprenticeship, which he began to serve in 1891, until his death, which occurred on 3rd September 1943, in his sixty-fourth year. On the completion of his apprenticeship in 1899 he was made junior representative, and ten years later was appointed works manager at the firm's Castleton Foundry, Leeds.
