ERNEST SPIERS, whose death occurred on 18th January 1944, at the age of fifty-two, was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1933. He obtained his technical training at the Leicester Technical School and served his apprenticeship with [[G. Perry and Sons|Messrs. G. Perry and Sons]], patternmakers, and with [[William Spiers|Messrs. William Spiers and Company]], hosiery machinists, of Leicester, from 1906 to 1911. ERNEST SPIERS, whose death occurred on 18th January 1944, at the age of fifty-two, was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1933.
