"GEORGE WOLSEY, whose death occurred on 10th May 1947, in his fifty-eighth year, was identified with the firm of [[Thomas Tilling|Messrs. Thomas Tilling, Ltd]]., road transport contractors, London, for the whole of his professional career, including his apprenticeship from 1906 to 1909. He was educated at Blackheath School and privately, and obtained his technical instruction at the Crystal Palace School of Engineering. On the conclusion of his practical training he was made garage foreman and later became garage superintendent. He was appointed assistant engineer in 1913, but two years later he joined H.M. Forces, and obtaining a commission in the Royal Engineers, was on active service for three years. He then returned to Messrs. Tilling with whom he continued as assistant engineer until his retirement due to ill health some ten years later. Mr. Wolsey was elected a Graduate of the Institution in 1910 and was transferred to Associate Membership in 1918." | |||

"GEORGE WOLSEY, whose death occurred on 10th May 1947, in his fifty-eighth year, was identified with the firm of Messrs.
