JONAS LINDOW BURNS-LINDOW, of Irton Hall, Whitehaven, who died suddenly at his residence on March 30, 1893, was the son of the late Mr. Burns. He was a nephew of the late Messrs. Samuel and John Lindow, who did so much for the iron trade of West Cumberland. Mr. Burns-Lindow was concerned in the management of the extensive business developed by his uncles.


He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1873.

JONAS LINDOW BURNS-LINDOW, of Irton Hall, Whitehaven, who died suddenly at his residence on March 30, 1893, was the son of the late Mr. Burns. He was a nephew of the late Messrs. Samuel and John Lindow, who did so much for the iron trade of West Cumberland. Mr. Burns-Lindow was concerned in the management of the extensive business developed by his uncles.

He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1873.
