"SYDNEY GEORGE ELTON spent a considerable time in India as a hydraulic engineer.
He was born in 1879 and received his education at Forest School, Walthamstow, Essex. He was apprenticed in the works of Messrs. James Simpson and Company, Ltd., London, from 1894 to 1898 (now Messrs.
