WILLIAM EDWIN WELLS died at his residence, Elmwood, Mosbro', Rotherham, on November 29, 1898.
He was managing director of J. & G. Wells, Limited, Eckington Collieries, and was the eldest son of the late Mr. George Wells, one of the founders of the collieries. He was appointed managing director in succession to Mr. J. C. Colver seven years ago.
He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1892.
