ROBERT WATSON BRADLEY died on December 18, 1913, at the age of fifty-three. His early years were spent in Carlisle, where he had served his apprenticeship as an engineer.
In 1885, after completing his apprenticeship, he occupied various positions in the management of blast-furnaces in England.
In 1901 he took up the management of the blast-furnaces of the Carron Company, but resigned on account of ill-health in 1910.
He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1902.
