1925 The "Cantie" Switch Company" was purchased by Brookhirst Switchgear of Chester, but carried on under this name and from the address above. It was arranged however, that the branch offices and agents of Brookhirst Switchgear represented the company. The two companies retained their individuality.[1]

By 1947 was wholly owned by Brookhirst Switchgear[2]

1948 Became a subsidiary of Metal Industries; moved to larger factory at Bromborough[3]

1956 Company was run-down by its parent because of poor prospects[4]
