- Bristol Bulldog I / IIA (1927) Fighter.
(1927) Fighter. Single seater biplane powered by the 440 hp Jupiter VIIF. 87 were built as two-seater trainers. The full-production Bulldog came in the form of the MkII, which had a modified structure but in every other respects was identical to the original except for having a 450 hp (336 kW) Jupiter radial engine.
1928 The aircraft entered production and entered service the following year. During the early 1930s became the most widely used aircraft in the RAF. The Mk. IIA was virtually similar to its predecessor, though had a new Jupiter engine and a strengthened structure. 90 of the Mk1 and 253 Mk2 types were built. There were also 50 trainer version built.
