1851 Walter Hicks, a farmer, set up the business which became The St Austell Brewery Company Limited

1863 Walter Hicks bought the Seven Stars Inn in St Austell.

1869 Built a steam brewery in St Austell

1893 Opened new brewery

1906 Acquired steam Foden lorry for deliveries

Today also owns 167 pubs
