"JOHN JOSEPH TAIT was associated with the motor industry during the whole of his professional career. He received his education at the Royal Technical College, Glasgow, and served his apprenticeship with Messrs. T. Melvin and Sons, Ltd., general engineers.
In the course of the next seven years he gained experience as a draughtsman with various motor firms, including the Albion Motor Car Co, of Glasgow.
