We have learned with regret of the death of Mr. W. A. Foulis, A.M.I.C.E., which occurred recently at the age of eighty-one.
Mr. Foulis was chief assistant engineer of the Tyne Improvement Commission from 1915 to 1936, having joined the engineering staff of the Commission in 1898.
Prior to that he was for four years an assistant resident engineer to the Clyde Nav1gation Trust, being engaged principally during that time on the construction of a new graving dock at Govan.
