John Kemp Starley (junior) followed his father into the business he had founded.

1907 Birth of son John Kemp Starley (1907-1971)

1911 Living at 8 Manor Road, Coventry (age 34 born Coventry), General Manager, Motor Cycle Co. With his wife (married six years) Florence Ada (age 29 born Swindon) and their children Gwendolen Lilian (age 8 born Coventry) and John Kemp (age 3 born Coventry). Also his sister Mable Starley (age 22 born Coventry). Two servants.[1]

1926 Became managing director of the Rover Company [2].

John Kemp Starley was born in 1877.

He joined the Rover Company at the commencement of his career and remained with them for fourteen years as Assistant Works Manager and later Works Manager. He became a Director of the Company in 1907.

He died in August, 1941, at the age of 64.

He was elected a Member in 1907.
